4 morning exercises that will keep you fit and active all day long

Having lazy mornings or waking up tired and lack of energy to perform daily tasks can simply be avoided by trying these simple exercises at your home. It will take only 30 minutes to perform and give a boost not only to your health but also keeps you energetic the whole day. According to experts the morning exercises should not be exhausting ones so that body should not be in pain all day long. Exercises and stretching is a good way to start mornings to stay energetic throughout the day. Below are the few exercises which are beneficial and give a good refreshing start to the day.

1. Reclining Bound Angle

One of the best and easy excercise is “Supt Baddha Konasana” in which body is posed in a sleeping butterfly way as shown in the picture. The pose helps in meditating, relaxing and to be balanced. It stimulates the blood supply in areas like back, abdomen and pelvis. After this exercise, all the pain, stress and fatigue, if any, will be gone within few seconds.

2. Happy Baby Pose

Also known as Ananda Balasana, helps the lower part of the body to stretch. The effective areas of the body are spin, legs, hamstrings, and thighs. The picture shows the right posture and the right way of performing exercise which helps in releasing of stress from the lower back and sacrum. It is also good in calming and relaxing the brain.

3. Planking

One of the best exercises to strengthen the back, core area of body and shoulders. Although it’s a bit tough one but it is most effective exercise even if it is only performed for 20- 30 seconds but once you perform it on regular bases then your stamina increases minutes or more. The key to perform this exercise is to keep breathing steadily and take rest between every rap for almost 30 seconds. The picture shows how to perform this exercise effectively.

4. Bridge Pose


Also known as Setu Bandhasana, helps in strengthening of the upper part of the body. It targets the back, shoulder, core and the arms and stimulate blood circulation of these body parts which will make body active and strong and body relaxing effects.
