If you are an Instagram user, you will come across many pictures of celebrities who do exclusive wet-look photoshoots, either standing in the rain, on the seashore, posing for wet windowpane portraits, or bathtub fashion ads.
Recently, I saw several pictures of A-list celebrities lounging and posing away in the pool. Initially, I thought that it was just a new Pakistani trend. Later, I came across pictures of Hollywood celebrities posing in the pool and realized that getting wet (and wild) is the new trend in fashion and editorial photoshoots. It all started with Emmad Irfani, who did an entire editorial shoot standing in a pool.
Moreover, breaking stereotypes, he is dressed in a proper dress shirt and pants standing right in between the pool to have his photos clicked.
Pakistani actors are posing in the pool, so as the actresses. Pakistan’s versatile actress Saba Qamar is one boss lady who doesn’t let ‘log kahenge’affect her career choices and especially not her style choices. She posed in a bathrobe for Niche Lifestyle magazine.
Also, she gets her photo clicked inside a pool, giving us a damn wet look.
Sheheryar Munawar was next, who took it a notch higher and wore a full suit in the pool while inviting us to join him for a cup of tea by posting “Chai ya paani?”
His recent steamy photoshoot with Syra has made him away sessy than before. He went on to do another shoot in the pool, this time without a shirt.
Do you remember the famous ‘Chai Wala?’ Yes, our Pakistani Christian Grey, Arshad Khan. Lux Style Award-nominated photographer/stylist Azeem Sani had also brought Arshad Khan on board to pose for a wet-look photoshoots back in 2016.
Hollywood celebrity Jennifer Lopez, aka JLo, just looked tremendous in her recent wet look photoshoot. She turned up the heat and stood in the pool. The shoot was from her upcoming skincare brand ‘JLo Beauty.’ From where does the actress look 51?
Similarly, many Bollywood celebrities like Shahrukh, Salman, Katrina, Kareena, Bipasha went wet and wild in many of their wet-look photoshoots. This is obviously not something new but surprising to be a part of Pakistan’s fashion industry trend.
Which photoshoot do you like the most? My vote is with Sheheryar and Saba!
